Fireblock with spray foam application question

Will fireblock spray foam adhere to polyethelene? I have poly on the wall in the basement with 2x4 framed out an inch from the wall. If it will not stick to the poly will it stick to the wood framing and even if it does is this up to code?

By fireblock spray foam, I am guessing you are talking about Great Stuff? I have tried it on Owens Corning XPS and wood. Great Stuff sticks to both.

I don't believe spraying foam between the polyethylene and the framing is up to fireblocking code, since polyethylene is highly combustible. Check with your local inspector to be sure.
