Fire pits

What brick (block) is best for the high heat for a fire pit

Fire pits

I used cinder blocks and made a 48" square pit. Lined with fireplace bricks and did fo-stone on the outside.. works great and only 2 rows high.. makes a nice big warm fire.. wife, kids and friends love it cause there is plenty of room.
