fire brick mix


hello all,

i am redoing a portable wood stove that the heat shield has rusted out. what i am trying to find is a firebrick mix to build the liner out of. the mix is a powder that you mix like you would cement. any ideas please help.

Are you talking about fireplace mortar? If so Rutland makes it. you can get it in powder, or ready mix tubs or caulk tubes. any decent Hardware store should stock it, or can order it
