Which fire blocking caulk to use around...

3M offers 3 different fire blocking caulks. Red, Yellow, and Gray.
For these applications which fireblock caulk should I use?
1. I added steel fireblocking around the chimney, now I need to seal the metal to the chimney.
2. there is blocking in the stud bay that separates the floor system from the wall. There are some gaps and I need to seal it.
TIA

All I've ever used to seal fireblocking is firestop foam. Didn't even know there was caulk for that purpose.

I have used the red intumescent caulking a bunch of times with similar projects.

Works well.

Thanks guys...
Gary I've got a quick general question about the descriptions.
Do you have any idea what " NON-RATED construction" means? This phrase is in the FB136 description. Is it OK to use the FB136 around gaps at the perimeter of the floor system?
Thanks

the expanding foam is the best by far as far as application goes. the hard caulk does not apply well and does not fully fill holes easily. when you add the expandable version it fills all voids and more...

Most residential work is non-rated, so FB136 will work fine. 3M makes a number of different sealants for different applications. Gray, Red,
Yellow and Blue. You really don't need more than what the FB 136 will provide.

If you were sealing rated walls or floors in a commercial structure, FB 136 would not be permitted.

3M's fire stop website has lots of information.
