Exterior Window Trim...PVC...Method...Help

We will be siding our house with vinyl and have decided to trim the existing windows with a PVC Brickmould that has a J-channel molded in. My question...how do I make the pieces to fit around the window? Do I measure the window, cut and glue the pieces together to form a frame and then attach to the house or attach one piece at a time and essentially create a frame on the window as I go? I think making a frame on the bench, oversizing it a bit is the way to go.

I plan to glue them together. Do i need to use screws at each corner or can I depend on the nailing fin of the j-channel to hold it all together once its attached to the house?
