Exterior cladding for exposed Logix ICF Basement / Foundation
We used Logix ICF to build our basement. What are some different options to use for exterior cladding below the vinyl siding to where the dirt is backfilled up to the basement walls?

I know you do not want to back fill dirt on to vinyl siding so we need to finish the exposed Logix walls with something to waterproof and protect them. Then we can do the final back filling and grading around the house.

Any recommendations? Looking for something cost effective and easy to install.

Keep in mind that Logix forms like most molded ICF systems are made using EXPANDED polystyrene (similar to "beadboard" or coffee cups) that is lighter and not as strong as the commonly seen pink, blue or yelllow EXTRUDED polystyrene that has different properties that has more strength and better insulation. Since the products are diferent, make sure you use attachments, adhesives, etc. that are compatible with your material.

The form supplier should be able to give you information on the required or suggested protection and materials to use.

Thanks Dick. Our contractor usually uses stucco but we were wondering if there were any other alternatives that we could do ourselves like somekind of paneling that we can back fill against.
