Have an existing cover porch. The slab is on a pored foundation. I'm going to be enclosing the porch and I want to install electric radiant floor heating. Should I insualted the slab first or just install the electric radiant over the exisitng slab?

Check with your local Building Department. To convert an outdoor space to a living space may require certain measures. They may want a vapor barrier under the concrete slab, proof of thickened footings to show the slab will support the walls and windows added, a stem wall to elevate the wood and siding off the exterior grade, shear plywood panels in the wall framing to resist lateral and seismic forces, proper size windows for light and ventilation, etc. Notify your Insurance carrier, also.
Be safe, Gary

17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
