Existing dead bolt cross bore 2 1/2" in wood door?

I have a new kwikset that needs a hole of 2 1/8. The finish is black iron. I have thought of filling the hole somehow and drilling a new one or adapter ring. I cant find any rings or adapters in the right color, black would work, and they are too small. Not even sure they would be a good idea. The door is from inside garage to house. Any ideas? Thanks

use the cut-out from a 2 3/4" hole saw and then re-drill to the 2 1/8".
