Engineered lumber and screws (I beams and lvls)

I have two questions as it relates to engineered lumber.

1) The basement ceiling is composed of GP wood I beams. Can I screw into the flange? How far in should I go? I have searched GP's website and have not found an answer.

2) I have an lvl header. Can I drill drywall screws into the face when hanging drywall? I have found nail patterns but not anything on screws.

Thanks,

Peter
