durock to drywall joint

I am getting ready to place my wall tile. I am not tiling the whole bathroom so ran the Durock just past the vertical shower door post and then ran drywall up to the Durock. I used the mesh tape and thinset to seal the joint. My question is I will have to install some tile over this joint and I have primered the drywall. Will I need to remove the primer where the tile will be over the drywall, or can I just rough up the primer, just worried about the thinset adhering to the primer.
