Drywalling over a concrete Wall

I have read a lot about liquid nails vs concrete nails, what would be more recommended?

Drywalling over a concrete Wall

Drywall should never be installed in direct contact with a concrete wall. Doing that would be asking for a myriad of problems. Treated wood furring strips should be fixed to the concrete wall with ramset nails, tapcons, or other concrete anchors. The drywall is then screwed to the furring strips. Drywall adhesive can be used to reduce the amount of screws required to install the drywall.

Yes, you must install furring strips . Otherwise you're asking for some nasty problems.
