Drywall Edges - bead or no?

Drywall hanging question regarding the finish out around a window opening.

I have 2x6 walls with the windows inset such that I have about 3 1/2 to 4 inches of "sill" space around the inside of each window. I plan to trim out the windows with 1x maple stock and some molding.

Question is the drywall - we have hung the walls with flush cutouts at each window opening. Do we have to install "J-bead" where the drywall edge meets the window well opening?...or since this cut edge will be covered with trim wood - do we not use edging bead?

Thanks.

Rick

general practice is to leave alone when covered by molding. In fact anything more and you would probably be considered "OC" by sheetrockers.

You must mean "jamb" space (for the window's side jambs, header stock and bottom sill stock.

As stated already: That's good enough right there...for your finish trim work...
