Dripping sound in wall

Recently moved into a house that is about 8 years old. I'm finding what seems to be a dripping noise in the kitchen wall, and am having a hard time determining what it might be. There are no pipes along that wall, only a vent. I'd love to get some advice on what it might be as at this point I'm not even sure who to have come out to look at it. Any thoughts would be great!! Thanks!

By any chance is there a refridgerator with a water line running to it nearby? Like for a built-in ice maker or water filter? They can make a noise that sounds suspiciously like water dripping inside walls. Other than that, are there any water pipes above that wall?

Well if there is no water or drain pipes in that wall then it sounds like the leak is coming from the vent. Does the vent go through the roof?? If so then the vent cap on the roof is leaking. Call a roofer
