If you are just pouring footings, then apparently all is yet exposed. The obvious is "Move the drain", but that I am sure was already ruled out. What is up? Details?
I am actually asking the same question in 2 threads (new iPhone app) but regardless essentially I removed a load bearing wall on the ground floor and need to pour the footing and install the column in my finished basement. The basement is floating floor on plywood on 2x4 the vapor barrier, 3inch concrete and gravel, finished basement is the reason I don't want to move the drain
If you got room for a 12 inch thick pad ,then just incase the pipe in the concrete, and just throw some rebar on it, no big deal. You could always put a inch thick steel plate above the pipe if its near the surface.
The pads crazy overkill already, I personally wouldn't worry about pipe and just pour around it. Unless of course there is little concrete cover over it and it is directly under the column.
2.0 x 2.0 x 1' deep pad's fine for residential support,,, never have seen any arch spec larger
