Drain Tile Questions

I would like to replace whatever drain tile is installed around the footing of my 1957 raised ranch. I'm going to use of the ez-flow drain tile/synthetic aggregate for the new tile.

I have a couple of questions:

1) Which installation would be preferable (left or right)

Drain Tile Questions

Question number two:

When I hit a corner of the house, should I put an elbow in and continue the perforated pipe along the footing or should I tap into a non-perforated pipe and start a new run of pipe with an end cap for the perpendicular wall?

3) Wouldn't spending a few extra bucks for 6" pipe make the most sense? I had more water intrusion at the floor-wall joint last week with the heavy rain and snow melt.
