Our entrance door is double door design, the lock on one side has 2 sliders, one on top and one at the bottom to slide into the door frame, the other door lock onto this one.
The lock seems flimsy to me, talked to the door and window security store, not much can do with this design, they said.
Anyone of you have success to reinforce the locking mechanism of this door design or make it more secure?
I am not a security expert, but just like any door, I would want all of the bolts, top, bottom, standard, and deadbolt, to have enough throw to go beynd the casing, and into the "meat", so you should probably look at that, but otherwise, I don't think that I would assume them to be any less secure than a standard door. If these are wood doors with wood casings, I also suggest that you install longer hinge screws, at least the two center-most ones in each hinge, as, in my opinion, this is an often overlooked weak link.
