door size

I measured the width of my existing door panel and got 27-3/4", it is a 28" wide door or 30" wide door?

or

what's the actual door opening width for a 28" wide door? I need to know if the opening is wide enough for a table which is 26" width.

Well that's confusing, it's a 28" door but your standing there with a tape measure and your asking us what the opening size is, hmm.
Need to be measuring from door stop to door stop moulding not the door size.
Why not just tip the table at an angle to get it through.

NOT touching this one.......

why didn't you just measure the opening when you had your measuring device out??

want to add a bathroom at basement and want to know which size door should be used to make sure that table can be moved in.

how big of a table are you putting in the bathroom? if you want to be sure use a 36 inch door.

I'd say use the maximum size door that will fit in the opening/space you have.otherwise a 28" door will actually be 27 3/4, 28" jamb to jamb and with the door stops ( 1/2" each) you will have right at 26" clearance between the stops...

A table in a bathroom?

the width of a bathroom door is based upon your building code requirements. Check with your building official. Typically 28" is the minimum width for a bathroom door for new construction. Consider people with mobility issues such as anyone uses crutches, a walker or wheel chair. in those cases 32" is bare bones minimum and 36" is recommended. If you have the space I'd install a 32" door at minimum and you shouldn't have issues with your table (hopefully as I don't know the depth of the bathroom or length of the table).
