I had a similar problem with room width for a 34" door on my remodel. I had to get a narrower custom made cabinet with curved doors to use an inward swing bathroom door. The door strike jamb can be seen in the lower RH corner.

Door hinge for tight spaces?

Well, you can buy yourself an extra 1/2" by not sheetrocking beside the vanity... let the vanity be the wall covering. That's what my builder did for our garden tub so that the last little bit could squeeze a "large" garden tub in our bath.
