I have a door that seems to sag. The door closes by itself. I've tried to tighten the screws of the hinge to the door but the door still sags. I lift the door and can see the hinge on the screw isn't moving but the hinge is moving where the pin slips through. Is it possible for the pin to be worn ?
Sure it, try this simple trick. Pull the pin and set it between two blocks of wood and give it a wack in the middle a hammer to bend it slightly.
Still not working remove the hindg and buy a new one. Take the old one with you.
They come in differant widths, radis, and square, easyer to match up if you have it with you.
How old is the structure, has it always done this? If the building has not shifted any, most likely the door was not hung true, if it has always done this, or if started recently, weight of the door is pulling down, and causing it to move.
