Direct Vent Fireplace

I plan to install a direct vent gas fired fireplace--exterior wall. Does any MFG make a shallow model that doesn't protrude very far into the room? Thanks for any help

Direct Vent Fireplace

Take a look at Vermont Castings. Their quality is good. I just installed a direct vent freestanding stove style. It does protrude into the room a fair amount but they have other models and styles that may fit your situation.

This is the one I installed.

Check this page for different models. They will have spec sheets with clearances that should give you an idea as to the depth.
