DeWalt DW959K2 Transmission Issues

I recently purchased a new motor (as the old one was smoking) and a new Transmission (as the old one was slipping). I replaced both, put the drill back together exactly the way it was before, however I am still having the same problem with the transmission slipping. Could the transmission I bought new be bad? Or could I have missed a step putting it back together? Thank you in advance.
