Detached Garage Insulation

What would be the correct way to insulate the roof deck of a detached garage. The garage is heated and will be air conditioned. The ceiling will not be sheetrocked.

Detached Garage Insulation

You can put 1x3 purlin on the underside of the ceiling joists and lay in batt insulation and then blow in loose insulation over that.

Detached Garage Insulation

My advice would be to folow Hatchet's advice unless you wants to use the "Attic" space for storage... which I think you do because you said roof deck.

Hmmm most garage roofs are hip style. This makes it tricky. I could draw a sketch but can't really explain it in words.
