Detached Garage Insulation

Unregistered Guest   Posts: n/a	Detached Garage Insulation What would be the correct way to insulate the roof deck of a detached garage. The garage is heated and will be air conditioned. The ceiling will not be sheetrocked.

hatchet Member   Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 67	Detached Garage Insulation You can put 1x3 purlin on the underside of the ceiling joists and lay in batt insulation and then blow in loose insulation over that.

Hmmm most garage roofs are hip style. This makes it tricky.
