Default densguard not flush with tub flange

I called densguard and they told me to install the densguard above the tub flange. I installed it this way but now I realize that this may have created a problem. The 1/2 inch densguard hangs over the flange. It is not flush with it. So if moisture runs down the denguard, I suppose it can wick around the bottom and the gypsum can soak it up. I included a really bad picture. I caulked between the back of the densguard and the tub flange. Should I caulk the whole bottom of the densguard.
