Demoing Acrylic Panels?

I've got a bathroom to demo tomorrow and the shower has acrylic panels over the drywall for a surround. Ordinarily I would just sawzall it out but my sawzall is currently on loan to a family member. Has anybody tried to just break acrylic panels? They are a good 3/16" and not fiber reinforced as far as I can tell. I tried to peel them off but they must have troweled adhesive on the back and are firmly attached to the drywall. Will brute force do it or do I need to go get my sawzall back?

Worst case, cut the drywall with a utility knife, then pull the whole thing off the wall. I'd expect the drywall nails/screws will pull right through.

If they won't pry off in one piece----use you skill saw --set the blade to the thickness of the panel--wear you goggles.

just like O Mike mentioned do that, consider to turn the blade around backwards as that seems to work to not grab the material in the teeth of blade. I use the backwards blade for vinyl siding and it works. if you have a helper have them hold the shop vac at the saw exhaust to help catch the plasti dust

I wouldn't even consider showing up for a demo without my Sawzall, whether I thought I needed it or not.
