Deck Piers

I have a camp in the Adirondack Mountains of northern NY. I would like to put on a deck but the soil is extremely rocky. I have even spoken to contractors who have broken power augers trying to get down 4 feet. I have been reading about floating deck systems and wondered if they would be appropriate for my situation. If anyone has experience with floating decks in this type of climate I would appreciate feedback.

That's possible...if we knew what the situation is. A plan with details would be a good starting place.
