deck overhang ( awning)


How far can I go with no support in the middle over my deck? The deck measures 21 ft wide and 16 feet out from the house. I can brace the sides but don't want to have poles in the middle.

Where are you located ?
What kind of awning/roof over the deck ?
Spanning 21' usually requires a big beams
