Deck Material

I am about to build a new deck and want don't want to use the standard pressure treated for the deck boards. I was going to use cedar but then someone told me that carpentar bees love it and I already have a problem with those bees.

So someone else told me about Cyprus wood, it looks very similar and insects hate it. Has anyone used this for their deck? I live in Georgia near Atlanta, does anyone know a place to buy cyprus?

If you insist on going with wood, try Ipe. It'll last the lifetime of you and your house combined.

I think it's 3 or 4 times as hard as brazilian cherry.
