I have two of the Stanly branded ones. I feel a 12" pipe wrench works just as well instead of spending to money to buy one.

I used a bowrench on my deck, it worked beautifully. I was working with ipe, very strong, and there is simply no way I could have straightened some of those boards without a mechanical device. One of the things I liked about the bow wrench was that it locked in position, so I could do the job solo. Only downside is that the tool needs a certain amount of space to work, so could not be used on the last couple of boards towards the house, which I used a pipe clamp on.

If you talking about installing deck boards, we have been using a ratchet strap.
Does not leave a mark, I can span over 20 ft., super strong.
(plus I already had them so did not have to spend any money)

i used to do the ratchet strap always ratcheting and fighting the lift issue then i switched to pipe clamps on a 10 pipe. then went to dadoing out 1 5/8 wide at 18 inch long board and using a large irwin spread clamp. now i am looking for suggestions for event a possible better solution. next deck i am looking at is going to use true 1x10 white oak in a barn

X2 on the Bowrench. Really helped and easy to use both pushing away from you and pulling towards you since you can change the pieces around for either use.
