Cutting tile on a diagonal

How do you cut tile diagonally in a straight line? I have a small wet saw.

Cutting tile on a diagonal

1. mark the tile and follow the line

2. make a jig that would hold the tile 45º rotated

You can measure from one corner and then measure the other corner and make a line, and cut, cut, cut......

I can't cut a straight line without a guide. I can't draw a straight line either. LOL I CAN paint a straight line, if that makes any sense.

I've been searching and found something here called a Boomerangle. I'm going to try to find one tomorrow.

Forget the wet saw......

How about you score your tile with a scoring tool, then cut a coat hanger, tape it to a table, and place your tile on so that the rod of the coat hanger is directly below the line of where you want the tile to break.

Apply pressure and voila, the tile is snaped......

Use a ruler to draw a straight line.......

I'll try that. It might work. I've called around trying to find the boomerangle locally but no one knows what I'm talking about.

Thanks!

Oh, I have to use a ruler to draw a straight line.

If you are cutting on a 45* angle just use a speed square against the fence and the tile.
