Cutting Hardi; shears vs hardi-blade??

Health benefits aside, how does the performance of the shears compare to a hardi blade on a chop-saw or circular saw? How difficult is it to make a straight cut?

Cutting Hardi; shears vs hardi-blade??

THe sheers work really well. We always cut the board upside down since the stationary blades could leave an indentation on the finished side of the panel.

No dust and they easily chomp their way through with no problem. Very easy to maneuver when you are cutting out for a door/window as well. Use a chisel to clean out the corner.

I never used the chop saw for this but would think it would provide a little cleaner cut. However, the sheers provide a pretty clean cut....but the cut ends get caulked anyway.
