Custom exterior metal wall panels
I have a supplier that carries decorative metal tin tiles similar to these http://decoratorceilingtiles.com/wp-...50-300x300.jpg
They measure 24 inches square. I can get them in aluminum or Tin (which can be anodized). I would like to use them as an exterior wall panel for a cabin project I am working on.
Any suggestions on how to convert these decorative wall panels into an exterior cladding?
My initial idea is to mount the metal panel on to 1/2" marine plywood with some form of adhesive. Before mounting the metal panel onto the plywood I could mechanically fasten brackets onto the plywood. These brackets could be hung off of pressure treated strapping hung from the building.
1) Oil canning due to expansion and contraction of the metal panel
2) Aesthetics, it is preferred to have concealed fasterners
3) Rusting of fasteners or panels or both
Thanks for any suggestions on methods to build this.
