curing period for stucco???


I want to know what is the curing period for 3 coats system stucco between coats.Our contractor wants to apply the brown coat after 3 days of puting the scratch coat. Is this right?

Three days would be more than enough. Many people prefer less since a newer scratch coat may provide a better surface.

Under the proper conditions and with proper technique, the brown coat can be apllied the same or the next day. As a rule, the sooner the better.

get it done,,, IF the base courses are TOO dry, adhesion's eventually a problem,,, who hired this contractor - YOU or the builder ? don't take the tools out of his hands unless you KNOW ( message boards do NOT count ! ) work's not being done properly,,, we walk off jobs when that happens
