Okay, so given your expertise, what solution do you feel would look the best and most authentic for my situation? And no, I can't afford real stone.

Given the front elevation, if it were me, I would stucco the entire house as I could afford it, and would possibly use faux rock on the garage, provided the foundation was not exposed. If stucco was not an option, then I would just plan on using faux rock to dirt, though I would probably have different stones with a watertable between at the foundation line.

The purpose is to allow for a change in the thickness of the wall, and also as a way to waterproof said change.
