Creating a floor for a small pool | question

I dug a hole in my backyard about 1.5mX1.5m currently about half a meter depth, hoping to make it something like meter and a half.
I intend to use some concrete as a floor and to make some plaster in order to prevent the water from leaking.
My intention is to cover the walls and floor of the hole with concrete and a thick layer of plaster on it
I need a recipe for plaster - how to make it and how to use it.
thanks ahead :-)
pictures of the hole here:

"Plaster" as in the stuff you put on walls? That will just disintegrate in water.

You could coat the concrete with clay to prevent leaks (or skip the concrete and just use a nice thick layer of clay).

Or, if you need something that gives a hard, plaster-like surface you could coat your concrete with Tegraproof.

You could also make concrete that is waterproof all by itself, as described here: waterproof ferrocement.

no it won't, if you use the right kind of plaster. Concrete pools have been using plaster topcoats for decades.

one plaster I was looking into for another project (bathtub) is tadelekt. Don't know if it be the best plaster for the OP but there are waterproof plasters out there.

asafyi; what are you using this for?

have you researched pool building? its not just dig a hole, add water.

you might consider a vynil liner. they are cheaper, especialy if you go with a standard size.

Rubber roofing is a standard liner---they hold up for years.

I use it for dipping about a few times a week.

If the ground in your area freezes and thaws with the seasons your pool walls will need addt'l strength.

maybe your location might be critical here. Not too many people ask how to make plaster.
