crawl space

I have a question regarding the crawl space under my home. The crawl space is very large part you can stand. There is a plastiv barrier laid down by the builder. I also have a sprinlker system for the lawn.
I see at one spot near the corner the dirt is low, was this intentional. There has not been a water problems. I assumed the builder or the sprinkler installer did this? Can you please let me know your thoughts
thanks, Janis

crawl space

the spot that is low could be where the main sewer pipe leaves the crawlspace or where the main plumbing line brings in water to the house through the foundation wall. if the vapor barrier plastic goes over top of the low spot then the low spot was there during the building process and not added afterwards.
