hi i am not sure if this is the right forum for this if not please let me know. i have a crack on the floor of my tub (plastic) we just got done with a cheap remodel in the bathroom replaced some floor and walls put the old tub back in(dummy) new surround walls. when i had the tub out i notice some voids poss. mouse house in the foam well i guess i steped in the right spot. the crack is about 6" long right now i just keep putting silicone over it till i figure out what i should do money is tight so i was wondering if anybody has any ideas. thanks bob

They are able to repair fiberglass tubs. Hotels have this work done often.

It may cost upwards of $100 or so. If the cost of the tub was near that price then it would be easier to just buy another new one.

If you are not so concerned with appearance, any clear epoxy
will seal and strengthen the crack. Should only take a little.

Or if you need to go REALLY cheap, use bondo. Get a quart for
about $6.00 US.

The crack repair will hold better if you use fiberglas. You can buy a small repair kit at any auto store. Clean the surface of the tub well, and follow the directions on the kit container.

thanks for the suggestion actually i was thinking about that when jbob suggeted epoxy. now heres the thing i believe i should drill 2 small holes at the ends of the crack to stop it and also fill in through the holes the spot where the mouse ate the styrofoam with expanding foam so there will not be a weak spot any more please tell me what you think? thanks bob
