Cost sheet for new home

construction? We are building a new home and I am trying to estimate all of the costs. I found one a while back in a log home book but can't find it now. I have started my own but I want to check to see if I missed anything. Thanks.

Are you personally building the structure or is a contractor doing it? If you're building it, speak to the architect, the plans might come with a materials list.

We have started with the walk out basement. I am meeting with our architect (he is drawing the 2nd & 3rd foors for us) in about 2 weeks so I will ask him. Thanks

Make sure that you include the ALL extras beyond the actual construction factors. Many newbies forget to account for the incidentals, like site prep and excavation issues, bad weather flooding, trucking, dumpster charges, Material delivery charges, taxes on materials, any storage charges, clean up costs, etc...
