Cost to Install 2 Transom Window's

I am looking to get a price to install 2 small transom (fixed pain) window's in my house. THese will go on a wall where there are no existing window's.

I got the price from a local "box" store and each Window is $165 as I am thinking of doing it myself.

For laugh's, I called in a local window company, and they wanted over $2000 to do the work and supply the window's.

What is a fair price to do this? I have the window's, siding and will do the sheetrock work myself when done. All I need is the stud and siding work.

Installed separately in the wall, $500.00 each. Mulled together, $850.00. Plus the cost of the windows.
These figures are purely speculative as I have not seen the sight and am assuming no major obstacles or hidden problems.

They will be seperate. So, with that you would say about $1000 total plus the window's?

So, if I DIY it, I save $1000.

You'd save about $850. You need to buy materials. Framing lumber, siding, exterior trim, interior trim, sheetrock, compound, etc...
