correcting slightly uneven small concrete surface

so i have this protruding concrete figure in my multi-level basement which is more like a step but will not be used a step. will be more like a living room corner caved in shelf inlet or whatever you call it but that does not matter that much.

since the position was kind of odd, the framing i put together was slightly imperfect (i typically am a perfectionist when it comes to concrete frames) and this step slopes very, very little (perhaps < 1/8" over a foot or so) and i would like to fix it. there will be carpet over it so ...

is there some solution that i can apply a thin layer of to correct the unevenness ? something like thinset or something to that effect. or something like linoleum that i can glue to concrete before i have a carpet installed. i think an applied solution would work better because it could be measured as is being applied.

thanks,

Self leveling floor material available at most home centers

But for < 1/8", I personally would let it go, once carpet is down it should almost disappear. If someone came to my house a complained about that little amount I would show them the front door and hopefully it does not hit them on the way out!!!

Btw

can you think of a brand name for the self-leveling material you are talking about ? sound kind of generic ...

L&M, Mapei, Custom....etc, etc

There is lots available, each area/state has preference for what is carried/sold, you will just have to see what is available in your market.

I would recommend leaving it alone, but if you cannot be stopped . . :)

Then use Cement All by Rapid Set. Mix, trowel, screed and it dries fast. It can be feather edged.
