corner patio cover in valley

I want to install a patio cover over my corner patio, but the roof valley runs to the corner. I want a wood cover with shingles. How do I join the cover to the roof so water coming down the valley doesn't leak inside the cover?

Pictures please, I see many possible scenarios and solutions but I don't really know what your area looks like.

Andy.

Hi, this is my first real DIY project and I'm kinda intimidated by the roofing videos I've seen so far. What I'm most concerned about is how to attach a patio cover to the existing roof, while dealing with the perpendicular wing of the house that creates a valley in the corner (like the previous poster).

Thanks for your help!

Peace,
Paul
