Converting shed to carport
I have a wood shed that I'd like to convert to a simple carport. The roof is still in excellent condition and it sits on a concrete slab. By my estimation, if I remove the walls (wood slates), I could fit my car in there. My concern is that there may be some wood rot along the baseline. How could I support the roof while shoring up the posts? Some alternatives I've been milling around are:
-Somehow remove the framed roof portion and rebuild the supports from scratch
-tear the whole thing down and start over
Any suggestions? What am I looking at cost-wise?
