construction adhesive
just used heavy duty construction adhesive in my caulk gun and am hoping to use it over 2-3 times over the next 3-4 days. It didn't come with any kind of cap - what's the best way to keep it healthy during this period - just cover the end with a paper towell, or do i need to use a new one each day?
thanks! |
The paper towel won't work. I'd say your best bet is to take some plastic wrap and cover the end tightly, then rubber band it on. That stuff gets pretty hard pretty quick.

if it does harden just cut the tube back alittle

If I remember, I stick a screw/nail in it, otherwise I ususally forget and just re-poke the hole |
Tape it closed with electrical tape!

dont forget to pull back or release the pressure on it or no matter what you put on the tip its all gonna OOZZZ out all over your goodies!

With any caulking, when you cut the little tip off the tube....... save it, and stick it back into the hole (point first) when you're done.

My method is... put a nail in it, put the tube in a large zip lock, and finally put it in the fridge.

That way, after awhile, you can always unscrew the spout, and pry the dried contents out, while the adhesive/caulk inside the tube is still uncured. |
