Concrete slab on sloped ground
I want to build a storage/work building with a concrete floor. The building will be 10X20 and I have built such buildings before but always on a skid system with wooden floors.
The problem is that the ground where I want to build this building slopes. The slope on the 10ft section will be somewhere on the order of 6 to 8 inches over the 10 foot span. Question, would it be easier to just pour the slab and have it 8-10 inches thick in the back or do I need to build up the ground with a retaining wall type system then pour the slab?
I donít know much about concrete other than it goes at the ends of fence posts and deck footings and any help would be appreciated.
definitely build it up. compact the hell out of it,form.
