concrete footers and slab

Hi,
I am thinking about building a soundproof music room workshop and am wondering what to expect as far as concrete costs go. I want to build on a concrete slab that would be 16 ft. x 20 ft. Digging in the area would not be a problem for the footers. I do not want to have to do anything myself. I live in Richmond, VA. What do you think? Thanks!

I don't know how thick you want it, but its sold by the yard. I did an area a few years back about the same size. But I only paid for the truck and concrete I finished it myself. I think for that size it was about 350 bucks worth of concrete. I know you said you dont want to, but if you did float and finish it you can save a ton of money!:)

Easy, call your local concrete suppliers and get costs by-the-yard quotes.

If you want to look at the costs of having it done by a foundation contractor, call one and have him come out to your house.

Your property has to be seen. Difficulty getting heavy equipment on site, will raise costs.
