Concrete Exterior Foundation Sealant
Does anyone know a product that is used to seal foundation walls thats gray (matches the concrete), and appears to be applied very thin? Was planning to seal my concrete but was told it had already been done, just hard to see.

When I spray the area with water were I was told it was applied/protected the water soaks right in. Was expecting water to bead up and run down the wall.

I'm used to thick black runny tar looking material, not something that looks like model paint. Even something thick gray runny tar stuff - that actually fills the small voids/air pockets.

Just don't want to do the work if the product that's may have been installed will protect the call from moisture.

Above or below grade?

Below grade. Footing/wall up to ground level.

Thanks, D

the usual's asphalt emulsion per bldg code .003" min thickness,,, keyword MINIMUM ! doesn't last imn-s-hfo but it does meet code,,, look on tremco or google delta-drain for the best solutions imn-s-hfo !

sounds as if they used a wtr-based mtl - not acceptable to me NUT ck the specs for the job - it may have been specified !
