concrete expansion joint sealer

My old school fiber concrete expansion joints have dried up and withered away and I want to fill it with that flexible caulking. I have already bought the foam backer rod and stuffed it into the crack after removing the debris but I'm having trouble locating the stuff. It really gets me too because I was just at Target and seen it used just outside their door.

Any of you folks know what I'm looking for?

This site is very cool, many smart people:)

You are looking for either a Sika Flex caulk or a BASF NP1 style caulk. They are Polyurethane caulking. Try a motar/brick/stone supply house.

Thank you. This site has been one of the best discoveries I've had.

we like polysulfide as its gas/diesel resistant,,, 100% silicone works well, too,,, have done miles of highways w/it.

I've found that Dow Corning has a good pavement sealant for expansion joints. It's good for handling weather extremes and I found it really easy to install. http://www.dowcorning.com/content/co...tion/conspave/

dow's product's good however won't resist gas/petroleum,,, normally its only used on runways & highways.

There's a new method available that will be a whole lot less work than the polyU caulk. Works for residential-type applications with rounded edge slabs and 3/4" joints.

these guys are new, and you can't get it too easily just yet, but it looks sweet.
