Question

Clothesline

I bought a pulley style clothesline kit at Home Depot and want to install one end to my house. Is this safe? It comes with a hook to screw into the house to attach the pulley to. Will it be strong enough to support the weight of the line and laundry? I have vinyl siding on the extrerior. Any hekp/info would be appreciated!

Clothesline

The vinyl itself will not support the weight very well. You'll need to either screw into a wood trim board, deck, fascia, plywood sheathing, or something solid. Another option would be to locate a stud and anchor through the siding into that. Just be sure to caulk around whatever hole you drill.
