Closing In Garage Door Opening

I hav the garage on my house that i'm converting into a master sweet. the floor is concret is thier any easy safe way to lay block on the exsisting doorway concret and install one and a half block to make sure it is water proof other then breaking it up and burrying one block and taring. i no i can put it in a bed of like hydralick cement but i'm not sure if this is adiquit its been a long time since i laid block.

If it was me I'd rent a concrete saw and cut through the slab between the inside corners of the existing block at the door opening, remove the strip of slab and put the block on the footing or stemwall.
