Default Closed Cell Spray Foam with Fiberglass?

We are in the process of insulating our attic which has been remodeled. I was looking to use closed cell spray foam for insulation, but the price is more than we can budget for.

It was proposed to use 4" closed cell spray foam and use R-19 fiberglass insulation over the foam to our attic catheral ceilings to meet the code of R-38. The gable ends would be R-20 with 4" of foam

Has anybody gone done this or recommend it? I am new to all of this stuff, and the price difference is within our range..

Thanks

this hybrid method is a good way to get a good job done with less costs. Most of the air leaks are at the seams and edges and the foam does a good job of sealing these.
