close in garage ceiling with trusses on 4 foot centers?
In this area o f Virginia we have a lot of pultry houses, and they use what is caled tryply with furring strips and plastic banding to hold up the insulation,it's an inexpensive way to close up,and insulate, can you give me some other ideas?
Nearly anything you install on a ceiling will need closer spacing than 4'. Furring strips at a minimum of 2', or 16", will support most any material. Depends on what the final use is. There are light weight plastic sheets available for farm buildings that are washable and stop the wind from blowing thru. The usual choice may be drywall, but that is very heavy, and not a good choice if the building is not heated.
